What is MSc International
Business in France?
A Masters in International Business (MSc IB) is a postgraduate degree that prepares you for careers spanning borders, cultures, and markets. It covers international trade, cross-cultural management, global strategy, export-import operations, and multinational corporate governance.
Unlike an MBA (which requires years of work experience), the MSc in International Business is designed for fresh graduates or those with minimal experience. It is your entry point into a career managing business across continents — in trade, consulting, operations, or multinational strategy.
France is the ideal country for this degree. Its business schools are located at the crossroads of European commerce, with campuses across multiple countries and partnerships with companies like Airbus, L'Oreal, Total, and Danone. Schools like ESSEC, ESCP, and SKEMA offer multi-campus programs where you literally study on two or three continents during a single degree.

6 Reasons France Is
the Best Place for
International Business
France sits at the crossroads of global commerce. Its business schools, multinational presence, and post-study work policies make it the smartest choice for an International Business degree.
Europe's Gateway for Global Business
France is the EU's second-largest economy and home to 31 Fortune Global 500 companies. Studying International Business here means learning from the heart of European trade, with direct access to multinationals like L'Oreal, Total, Airbus, and Danone.
World-Class Business Schools
France has more Triple Crown accredited business schools than any other European country. ESSEC, ESCP, SKEMA, and NEOMA are globally recognised for international business education — a credential that opens doors across every continent.
Mandatory International Internship
Most MSc International Business programs in France mandate a 4-to-6-month internship, often across borders. You graduate with real cross-border work experience — not just theory about globalisation.
Truly International Classrooms
French business schools attract students from 80+ nationalities. At ESCP, over 70% of students are international. You build a global professional network from day one — the kind money cannot buy.
2-Year Post-Study Work Visa
France's APS permit lets you live and work in France for up to two years after graduation, with full Schengen zone access. It is one of Europe's most generous post-study work visas — and a direct path to international careers.
Exceptional Value vs UK and USA
A world-ranked MSc in International Business from France costs ₹10-38 lakhs — significantly less than the UK or USA, with equal or greater global employer recognition and far better work visa options after graduation.

What Indian Students
Need to Qualify
These are baseline criteria. Our counsellors assess your profile individually and tell you exactly where you stand.
Academic Score & Accepted Degrees
Bachelor's degree (3 or 4 years) in any discipline — commerce, engineering, arts, science, BBA, BCom all accepted. ESSEC and ESCP expect 75%+ (CGPA 7.5+). SKEMA and NEOMA accept 65%-70%. IESEG, Audencia, and Rennes work with 60%+. Most IB programs are designed for fresh graduates or those with up to 2 years of experience.
GMAT / GRE Score
ESSEC and ESCP strongly prefer GMAT 650+ or GRE 315+. SKEMA and NEOMA prefer GMAT but waive for strong academic profiles. IESEG and smaller schools usually do not require it. A strong score unlocks 10%-50% merit-based scholarships. Plan to take the GMAT 4-6 months before your application deadline.
English Proficiency
IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) or TOEFL iBT 90+. All programs listed here are fully taught in English. Students from English-medium Indian colleges often qualify for language waivers.
Work Experience
Not mandatory for most MSc in International Business programs — they welcome fresh graduates with 0-2 years of experience. However, internships at multinational companies, export-import firms, or cross-border consulting roles significantly strengthen your application at ESSEC and ESCP. Any international exposure — study abroad semesters, global exchange programs, or volunteering in cross-cultural environments — is viewed very favourably.
Documents Required
Statement of Purpose (1-2 pages — demonstrate your interest in global business, any cross-cultural exposure, and career goals in international trade, consulting, or multinational management), 2-3 Letters of Recommendation (1 academic + 1 professional preferred), updated CV, all academic transcripts, passport copy, and any relevant international certifications or project work. SOPs are checked for plagiarism — always write your own.
Not sure if you qualify? Our counsellors do a profile analysis and tell you which schools you can get into — and what it takes to strengthen your application.
