What is MSc Luxury
Brand Management?
An MSc in Luxury Brand Management is a specialised postgraduate degree that prepares you to lead and manage the world’s most prestigious brands — from fashion houses like Dior and Chanel to jewellery brands like Cartier, hospitality groups like Four Seasons, and automotive marques like Rolls-Royce.
This is not a general MBA. It combines brand strategy, consumer psychology, visual merchandising, luxury retail management, and digital innovation — all through the lens of the luxury industry. You learn how to create desire, manage exclusivity, and deliver experiences that justify premium pricing.
France is the natural home of this degree. The country that gave the world haute couture, Place Vendôme, and Paris Fashion Week also produces the graduates who run LVMH, Kering, and Hermès. Studying here means living inside the industry — not reading about it from abroad.

6 Reasons France Is
the Only Place to
Study Luxury
No country on earth dominates the luxury industry the way France does. Here is why studying luxury brand management anywhere else is a compromise.
LVMH, Kering & Hermès — All in Paris
The world’s three largest luxury conglomerates — LVMH (#1), Kering (Gucci, YSL, Balenciaga), and Hermès — are all headquartered in Paris. No other city comes close to this concentration of luxury power.
€353B Global Luxury Market Led by France
The global personal luxury goods market exceeds €353 billion, and French brands dominate it. Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior, Cartier — studying luxury in France means studying at the source.
Place Vendôme & Rue du Faubourg
Paris’s Place Vendôme and Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré are the epicentres of global luxury. These aren’t just streets — they’re living classrooms for luxury brand management students.
Paris Fashion Week Access
Paris Fashion Week is the world’s most important fashion event. Students at ESSEC, IFM, and ESCP get direct exposure — backstage access, brand activations, and networking with industry leaders.
Direct Industry Networking
French luxury schools have direct partnerships with LVMH, Kering, Chanel, Hermès, and Richemont. Internships, guest lectures, and recruitment events happen on campus — not just in brochures.
2-Year Post-Study Work Visa in Luxury
France’s APS permit lets you live and work in France for 2 years after graduation — with full Schengen access. Build your luxury career in Paris, Milan, London, or beyond.

What Indian Students
Need to Qualify
These are baseline criteria. Our counsellors assess your profile individually and tell you exactly where you stand.
Academic Score & Accepted Degrees
Bachelor's degree (3 or 4 years) in any discipline — commerce, arts, design, business, humanities all accepted. ESSEC and IFM expect 65%+ (CGPA 6.5+). ESCP and SKEMA accept 60%+. NEOMA, INSEEC, and other schools work with 55–60% (CGPA 5.5–6.0). Prior luxury industry experience is valued but not mandatory.
Interview & Motivation Letter
Most luxury programs require a personal interview and a strong motivation letter demonstrating passion for the luxury industry. Some schools conduct creative exercises.
English Proficiency
IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) or TOEFL iBT 90+. French language is NOT required — top luxury programs are fully taught in English. Learning French improves career prospects.
Work Experience
Not mandatory for most luxury management masters, but relevant experience gives you a significant edge. Luxury retail experience at brands like LVMH, Kering, or Hermès, fashion internships, visual merchandising roles, or hospitality industry exposure are highly valued — especially at ESSEC and IFM. Even part-time retail experience at premium brands counts.
Documents Required
Statement of Purpose (1–2 pages, essay-style), 2–3 Letters of Recommendation (1 academic + 1 professional preferred), updated CV, all academic transcripts, passport copy, and any relevant portfolio showcasing luxury brand projects or creative work. Important: Charpak Scholarship SOPs are checked for plagiarism and AI-generated content is now flagged — always write your own.
