Masters in Pharmacy
in France — What to Know
France is a pharmaceutical powerhouse. Home to Sanofi (#4 pharma company globally), Servier, Pierre Fabre, and Ipsen, France invests over EUR6 billion annually in pharmaceutical R&D — and its universities are deeply embedded in this ecosystem.
Important for Indian students: Traditional French pharmacy programs (the 6-year PharmD equivalent) are taught in French. However, several top universities now offer English-taught MSc programs in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Drug Development, Pharmacology, and Health Sciences — designed for international students.
These MSc programs give you access to France's world-class research infrastructure — CNRS, INSERM, the Pasteur Institute — while building skills that are directly relevant to the global pharmaceutical industry. With the Pasteur Institute's legacy and France's position as Europe's largest pharmaceutical manufacturer, you're studying at the heart of the action.
