Work Experience (Mandatory)
3–7 years of professional work experience is mandatory for MBA programs. INSEAD averages 6 years, HEC Paris 5+ years. Managerial or leadership roles strengthen your application significantly. This is the single most important criterion — no MBA program in France accepts fresh graduates.
Academic Score & Accepted Degrees
Bachelor's degree (3 or 4 years) in any discipline — B.Tech, BBA, BCom, BSc, BA, BCA all accepted. INSEAD and HEC Paris expect 70%+ (CGPA 7.0+). ESSEC and ESCP accept 65%+. EDHEC, SKEMA, and other schools work with 60%+ (CGPA 6.0+). Work experience and GMAT often compensate for lower academics.
English Proficiency
IELTS 7.0+ or TOEFL iBT 105+. No French language requirement — all top MBA programs are taught entirely in English. French courses are optional and often included free.
GMAT / GRE Score
GMAT 680+ recommended for INSEAD and HEC Paris. A score above 700 significantly boosts scholarship eligibility. GRE is accepted by most schools as an alternative to GMAT. Some mid-tier schools waive GMAT for candidates with 8+ years of strong professional experience.
