What is an MSc in
Marketing in France?
An MSc in Marketing — also offered as MSc in Digital Marketing, Marketing Management, or Marketing & Creativity — is a specialised postgraduate degree that trains you in brand strategy, consumer behaviour, digital marketing, data-driven decision making, and creative campaign management.
Unlike a general MBA, the MSc Marketing is designed for graduates who want to specialise immediately. You do not need prior work experience or a business degree. Whether you studied engineering, arts, or science, these programs build your marketing expertise from the ground up — and place you directly into brand teams at global companies.
France is uniquely positioned for marketing education. It is home to the world's largest luxury conglomerates (LVMH, Kering, L'Oreal), Europe's biggest digital advertising market, and the Publicis Groupe — one of the four global advertising holding companies. Studying marketing at a French Grande Ecole means learning from professors who consult for these companies and interning at their Paris headquarters.

What Indian Students
Need to Qualify
These are baseline criteria. Our counsellors assess your profile individually and tell you exactly where you stand.
Academic Score & Accepted Degrees
Bachelor's degree (3 or 4 years) in any discipline — commerce, arts, engineering, science all accepted. HEC Paris and ESSEC expect 75%+ (CGPA 7.5+). ESCP and EDHEC accept 70%+. SKEMA, NEOMA, and KEDGE work with 60–65% (CGPA 6.0–6.5). MSc Marketing programs do not require prior marketing experience or a business degree.
GMAT / GRE
A GMAT of 600-680 strengthens applications at HEC, ESSEC, ESCP. Several schools waive GMAT for strong profiles. A competitive score also unlocks merit scholarships worth 10%-50% of tuition fees.
English Proficiency
IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) or TOEFL iBT 90+. All MSc Marketing programs listed here are fully taught in English. Students from English-medium Indian colleges often qualify for waivers.
Work Experience
Not mandatory for most MSc Marketing programs — they are designed for fresh graduates with 0–2 years of experience. However, internships or work experience in digital marketing, brand management, advertising, or social media management significantly strengthen your application at HEC and ESSEC. Any marketing-related project work or freelance experience counts.
Documents Required
Statement of Purpose (1–2 pages, essay-style), 2–3 Letters of Recommendation (1 academic + 1 professional preferred), updated CV, all academic transcripts, passport copy, and any relevant marketing campaign portfolio or project work. Important: Charpak Scholarship SOPs are checked for plagiarism and AI-generated content is now flagged — always write your own.
