Overview

What is an MSc in
Marketing in France?

An MSc in Marketing — also offered as MSc in Digital Marketing, Marketing Management, or Marketing & Creativity — is a specialised postgraduate degree that trains you in brand strategy, consumer behaviour, digital marketing, data-driven decision making, and creative campaign management.

Unlike a general MBA, the MSc Marketing is designed for graduates who want to specialise immediately. You do not need prior work experience or a business degree. Whether you studied engineering, arts, or science, these programs build your marketing expertise from the ground up — and place you directly into brand teams at global companies.

France is uniquely positioned for marketing education. It is home to the world's largest luxury conglomerates (LVMH, Kering, L'Oreal), Europe's biggest digital advertising market, and the Publicis Groupe — one of the four global advertising holding companies. Studying marketing at a French Grande Ecole means learning from professors who consult for these companies and interning at their Paris headquarters.

Why France

6 Reasons France Is
the Best Place to
Study Marketing

From luxury brand headquarters to Europe's largest digital ad market, France offers marketing students an unmatched ecosystem of brands, agencies, and career opportunities.

01

Global Capital of Brand & Luxury

France is home to LVMH, L'Oreal, Publicis Groupe, Danone, and Kering — the world's most influential marketing-driven companies. Studying marketing here means learning inside the ecosystem that sets global brand standards.

02

The Grande Ecole Advantage

France's Grande Ecole system produces marketing graduates who lead campaigns at the world's biggest brands. HEC, ESSEC, and ESCP marketing alumni hold senior positions at Google, Amazon, Unilever, and every major luxury house.

03

Mandatory 6-Month Internship

Every MSc Marketing program in France mandates a professional internship — often at a global brand headquarters in Paris. You graduate with real European marketing experience on your resume, not just theory.

04

Digital Marketing Leadership

France is Europe's largest digital advertising market. French business schools have invested heavily in digital marketing, martech, data analytics, and AI-driven marketing curricula — skills that employers demand globally.

05

2-Year Post-Study Work Visa

France's APS permit gives you the right to live and work in France after graduation, with full Schengen zone access. Marketing roles at Paris-based multinationals are a direct path to European careers and residency.

06

Better ROI than UK or USA

A world-ranked MSc Marketing from France costs Rs 12-45 lakhs — significantly less than the UK or USA. With mandatory internships and part-time work rights, the return on investment is among the best globally.

Eligibility

What Indian Students
Need to Qualify

These are baseline criteria. Our counsellors assess your profile individually and tell you exactly where you stand.

01

Academic Score & Accepted Degrees

Bachelor's degree (3 or 4 years) in any discipline — commerce, arts, engineering, science all accepted. HEC Paris and ESSEC expect 75%+ (CGPA 7.5+). ESCP and EDHEC accept 70%+. SKEMA, NEOMA, and KEDGE work with 60–65% (CGPA 6.0–6.5). MSc Marketing programs do not require prior marketing experience or a business degree.

02

GMAT / GRE

A GMAT of 600-680 strengthens applications at HEC, ESSEC, ESCP. Several schools waive GMAT for strong profiles. A competitive score also unlocks merit scholarships worth 10%-50% of tuition fees.

03

English Proficiency

IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) or TOEFL iBT 90+. All MSc Marketing programs listed here are fully taught in English. Students from English-medium Indian colleges often qualify for waivers.

04

Work Experience

Not mandatory for most MSc Marketing programs — they are designed for fresh graduates with 0–2 years of experience. However, internships or work experience in digital marketing, brand management, advertising, or social media management significantly strengthen your application at HEC and ESSEC. Any marketing-related project work or freelance experience counts.

05

Documents Required

Statement of Purpose (1–2 pages, essay-style), 2–3 Letters of Recommendation (1 academic + 1 professional preferred), updated CV, all academic transcripts, passport copy, and any relevant marketing campaign portfolio or project work. Important: Charpak Scholarship SOPs are checked for plagiarism and AI-generated content is now flagged — always write your own.

Not sure if you qualify? Our counsellors do a profile analysis and tell you which schools you can get into — and what it takes to strengthen your application.

journey.
We walk it with you.

What began as our own journey to France became a promise to guide others with honesty, not pressure. Our founders and partners don't just know about France — they live in Europe. Our co-founder pursued her Masters in France and calls Paris home today.

She didn't read about the experience online. She lived it. That means when you talk to us, you get reality — not a sales pitch built on brochures. We tell you what university interviews feel like.
